What are my Delta Air Lines check-in choices?

Online check-in is available from one to 24 hours before scheduled departure. Passengers less than two years old on the date of travel are categorized as babies and may fly for free if they travel on the lap of an adult age 18 or older. Each ticketed adult can take 1 lap baby. When traveling to an international place into the Delta States, a few discounts may apply depending on the county and the age of the child. Other fees may apply for lap babies travelling internationally.

This is usually 10 percent of the adult fare and surcharges.

Be aware that lap babies aged less than 7 days old must have a letter of acceptance from a physician to fly. Seating for babies and kids.

Children aged between 5-14 travelling with no legal guardian or adult aged over 18 years are required to use the Delta Air Lines Unaccompanied Children service and be ticketed on the adult fare. Some things to note are that Unaccompanied Minors can simply link to other Delta, Delta Connection, Air France and KLM flights, and that journey is not permitted on the last connecting flight of the day or on so-called Red-Eye flights between 9 5 and pm a.m. (although there are a few exceptions that you may find here ).

The Unaccompanied Children service is available for the following speeds:

5 to 7 years old: US$150 each way each kid on non-stop flights only 8 to 14 years old: US$150 each way each kid for non-stop and connecting flights Between 15 (but not yet) 18 years: Can travel with no service, but should they use the service, fees will be the same as above.

Flying while pregnant.

Presently there are no restrictions regarding when expectant mothers are able to fly with Delta.

You’ll need to call 1-800-352-2746 when the pet is flying unescorted. Delta Air Lines doesn’t take warm-blooded creature on flights lasting more than 12 hours, and family birds are only permitted to fly flights at the U.S.

1 pet is permitted per kennel except in the case of a female cat/dog, which may travel together with her un-weaned litter when the mess is at least 10 weeks old to 6 months of age. The letter shouldn’t be more than 1 year old and it has to be on letterhead from a mental health professional or medical practitioner who is treating your mental health-related disability. The letter must state the following:

What are Delta Air Lines’ luggage allowance limits and fees?

Carry-on Baggage Allowance.

The maximum dimensions for your checked bag together with Delta Air Lines shouldn’t exceed 157 centimeters once your complete length, width and height. In Economy, luggage shouldn’t weigh more that 23 kilograms or 32 kilograms at First Class.

Extra and overweight luggage charges.

Musical instruments and/or gear are accepted as checked luggage, carry-on bags or cabin-seat bags — depending on its size and shape — on Delta and Delta Connection carrier’s flights. Musical equipment or instruments could be assessed if the total linear dimension (length width height) doesn’t transcend 381 centimeters, and provided the weight, for example, case, doesn’t exceed 75 kilograms.
