What are my Delta Air Lines check-in choices?
Online check-in is available from one to 24 hours before scheduled departure. You may download and print out your boarding pass through the primary page of the site and selecting the very first tab on the primary box titled "Check at," where you may add your verification number and departure airport to last. Priority boarding.
Clients who need assistance and additional time to board are invited to board first with families traveling with car seats and strollers. Delta One clients are then asked to board along with First Class clients and Diamond Medallion Members followed by passengers flying at the Sky Priority Boarding Zone. Flying with kids.
Passengers less than two years old on the date of travel are categorized as babies and may fly for free if they travel on the lap of an adult age 18 or older. Each ticketed adult can take 1 lap baby. When traveling to an international place into the Delta States, a few discounts may apply depending on the county and the age of the child. Other fees may apply for lap babies travelling internationally.
This is usually 10 percent of the adult fare and surcharges.
Be aware that lap babies aged less than 7 days old must have a letter of acceptance from a physician to fly. For inquiries, or to book/add a baby ticket, it is possible to call Delta Air Lines reservations at 1-800-221-1212 (or 1-800-241-4141 for international sales) together with your verification code.
Seating for babies and kids.
You can bring your kid ‘s car seat and stroller for free as checked luggage. You can check these things with your other luggage, or wait until you arrive at the gate region. When using a child safety seat, it’s not permitted to select seats in the following areas:
Aisle seats Emergency exit pops Any chair one row forward or one row back in an emergency depart Bulkhead seats once the safety chair is a combination car seat and stroller Flatbed seats in the Delta One area of these aircraft: Airbus A330-200 or A330-300; Boeing 777, 767 or 747 aircraft.
Sky Cots (bassinets) are available for free for passengers assigned to a bulkhead seat equipped aircraft for a few international flights. You can ask for a bassinet through reservations.
Unaccompanied children.
Children aged between 5-14 travelling with no legal guardian or adult aged over 18 years are required to use the Delta Air Lines Unaccompanied Children service and be ticketed on the adult fare. Some things to note are that Unaccompanied Minors can simply link to other Delta, Delta Connection, Air France and KLM flights, and that journey is not permitted on the last connecting flight of the day or on so-called Red-Eye flights between 9 5 and pm a.m. (although there are a few exceptions that you may find here ).
The Unaccompanied Children service is available for the following speeds:
5 to 7 years old: US$150 each way each kid on non-stop flights only 8 to 14 years old: US$150 each way each kid for non-stop and connecting flights Between 15 (but not yet) 18 years: Can travel with no service, but should they use the service, fees will be the same as above.
Flying while pregnant.
Presently there are no restrictions regarding when expectant mothers are able to fly with Delta.
Group bookings.
Delta Air Lines provides different alternatives for class travel. Travel based on if you’re a member of a travel agency, a company or a group coordinator. Call 1-800-532-4777 to contact a Delta Group Specialist should you’re planning to travel as a set of at least 10 on the exact same flight.

Pets and service animals.
You will need to contact Delta Air Lines reservations on 800-221-1212 for flights within the Delta States or 1-800-241-4141 to get international flights if you plan to take your pet or service animal on a flight. You’ll need to call 1-800-352-2746 when the pet is flying unescorted. Delta Air Lines doesn’t take warm-blooded creature on flights lasting more than 12 hours, and family birds are only permitted to fly flights at the U.S.

1 pet is permitted per kennel except in the case of a female cat/dog, which may travel together with her un-weaned litter when the mess is at least 10 weeks old to 6 months of age. Permitted kennel sizes depend on your own flight. You need to contact Delta Reservations to ascertain the appropriate kennel size.
Service and psychological support animals will also be permitted at no cost on Delta Air Lines in case you qualify as someone with a handicap and specific documentation requirements are satisfied. Offering 48-hour advance notice is recommended here. To board with an emotional support animal, you must present current documentation to one of those customer service agents.
The letter shouldn’t be more than 1 year old and it has to be on letterhead from a mental health professional or medical practitioner who is treating your mental health-related disability. The letter must state the following:
That you have a mental or psychological disability recognized from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders — Fourth Edition (DSM IV). You need the psychological support or psychiatric service creature as a lodging for air travel and/or for action at your destination. The letter must come from a licensed mental health professional, you must be under his/her professional care.
The letter MUST include the date, the mental health professional’s or medical doctor’s permit, along with the country or other jurisdiction where it had been issued.
What are Delta Air Lines’ luggage allowance limits and fees?
Carry-on Baggage Allowance.
For additional carry-on objects beyond the one-bag limitation, each piece will incur a charge. Refer to the checked luggage page for more information.
The maximum dimensions for your checked bag together with Delta Air Lines shouldn’t exceed 157 centimeters once your complete length, width and height. In Economy, luggage shouldn’t weigh more that 23 kilograms or 32 kilograms at First Class.
Extra and overweight luggage charges.
The first carry-on tote and personal item is free with your initial checked bag being charged US$25 and US$35 for the next tote beneath 23 kilograms. For U.S. and Canada to and from Europe/North Africa — ticketing on or after Dec. 6, 2017 for travel on/after April 10, 2018 will have the following luggage fees:
Basic economy only: 1st bag charge is US$60 2nd bag charge is US$100.

Musical and sports gear.
Musical instruments and/or gear are accepted as checked luggage, carry-on bags or cabin-seat bags — depending on its size and shape — on Delta and Delta Connection carrier’s flights. Musical equipment or instruments could be assessed if the total linear dimension (length width height) doesn’t transcend 381 centimeters, and provided the weight, for example, case, doesn’t exceed 75 kilograms. The fees for transporting sporting gear also depends on size and destination, but generally, begin from US$150 for travel to all regions for surfboards, kiteboards and bicycles.
Booking fees.

US$25 percent for tickets purchased in select European nations over the telephone through Reservations Sales US$35 a ticket for tickets purchased at one of Delta’s Ticket Office Locations in select European countries.
Charges are waived for the rest of the points of origin.
Flight cancellation policy.
You can cancel your itinerary free of charge within 24 hours if you made your booking online. Cancellation requests do not need to go through the exact same region where you booked the eTicket. For example, if you get via Reservations, you can cancel through Delta.com.

In-flight entertainment.
Delta Air Lines provides free streaming entertainment system named Delta Studio. This permits you to view free movies and TV shows in your device. You may download the app for your device here. Seat-back entertainment is also available.

Lounges.
Delta Sky Club members may get 239 Delta Sky Clubs or associate lounges around the globe. The Expense of the Single Visit Pass is US$59. Other passengers together with the ticket or membership kind listed here may also get into the lounges.
Delayed, missing or damaged bag.

Compensation for luggage.
Bags charge rebates will be a US$25 or US$50 ETCV which may be used for future ticketing on Delta Air Lines. You can anticipate US$25 ETCV when the initial bag charge was paid and one delta airlines 800 phone number luggage is lost and US$50 ETCV when the next tote fee was paid and two bags are lost (there is a maximum of US$50 rebate per passenger).
Reasonable expenses will also be reimbursable provided that receipts are presented. This generally equates to US$50 daily for the first 5 days the bag is postponed. Any disbursements are deducted in the last settlement when the bag is not located.
The domestic liability limitation is US$3,500 per passenger and 1,131 SDR (Special Drawing Rights) per ticketed passenger for international flights (as regulated by the Montreal Convention).
